Big dogs ROCK!

Our shelter is FULL as it often is in the summer time. If you are at thinking about adding a dog to your family, please come check out our shelter. We think it's a pretty awesome shelter. We have a great courtyard where you can walk the dogs and even fenced yards where you can throw the ball and play with the dogs. They will love you for it and shower you with kisses.

We have some great big dogs at the shelter! Let me introduce you to them. Some of these dogs are Code Red, which means they have until Friday to get adopted or rescued. Sadly, this happens when the shelter gets overcrowded and runs out of space. Please share this blog on Facebook and tweet it on Twitter to help us help the dogs.

First, we have Jasmin. Her coat is absolutely beautiful. With the right light, it can change from black to brown. She is a sweetheart who loves other dogs. She loves to play in the yard but then comes to you for attention and affection. Jasmin is Code Red, and she needs to get out ASAP.

Here is her video debut:

Next, we have sweet Roxann. This sweetheart was surrendered to the shelter, and she was really confused and scared. With love and patience, she has really come out of her shell. She now holds her head up high and enjoys to get out of her kennel. She will warm right up to you and even come sit next to you for love and affection. She is a gem and deserves a great home. Roxann is Code Red and needs to get out of the shelter ASAP. Just look at that face...doesn't she look regal in her purple bandana?

Mia Star is definitely a star with that big smile. She is friendly, outgoing, and playful. This girl is full of energy. She runs and runs and runs in the yard and then makes a mad dash toward you for hugs. She is a super sweet girl who gets along with other dogs.

Next we have Lassie, who is Mia Star's kennel mate. Isn't she absolutely gorgeous? She is friendly, gentle, and has the most adorable curly-Q tail. She is very treat motivated and gets along with other dogs.

Meet Sarge, who is the most gorgeous blue heeler. Do you agree? He is a handsome boy who loves affection and walks around the neighborhood.

Now onto Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid...

Butch Cassidy is a different dog once you get him out of his kennel. Don't let his bark fool you. He is a very friendly dog who is calm and patient. And boy, does he love treats. He's a character because he kept walking through Laura's legs when she was trying to walk him. He was cracking us up. Jimmie and I were quite surprised at what a great dog he was. He was just a gem of a dog. He gets along great with his roommate, the Sundance Kid.

And now the Sundance Kid...he is all bark just like Butch Cassidy in his kennel, but that's because he really wants out of his kennel and walking around the yard. He's a timid boy but loves affection. He reminds me a fire truck dog. What do you think?
